Quartzwood Cabin
Enjoy a one-of-a-kind stay in our restored 1700s cabin guest house with modern updates and beautiful decor. Off the beaten track, but only about 1 hour from both DC and Baltimore.
This eighteenth-century cabin was reconstructed on our property in the '80s from its original timber. You'll love its huge, rough-hewn American Chestnut logs and the wide floor boards. The decor is a mix of primitive, vintage, and contemporary furnishings. We've outfitted the space to make it a comfortable home away from home for you: an antique four poster bed, luxurious Belgian linen sheets, fluffy 100% cotton towels, bathrobes, organic coffee and tea, a small refrigerator, homemade granola, and more.
The cabin has electricity, and has seasonally available heating and cooling as well as its own fireplace, but it does not have its own plumbing. A full bathroom for your use is located in our main home, just 50 feet from the cabin's location.
Available April through October. Book through Airbnb.
“This rustic cabin in a serene and peaceful setting is incredible. The hosts have done a fantastic job of keeping the old cabin feel with added simple pleasures. Come here if you want a peaceful getaway. You’ll find yourself sitting on the cabin porch or perhaps inside by the fire, reading a good book, sipping a smooth cup of coffee, watching the beautiful chickens in the lawn, and being absolutely content.”
